SouthWest Exotic Avian Rescue (SWEAR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue.  Our #1 priority is to provide safe and caring foster and permanent adoption placement to parrots in need of rehoming.  We provide the birds that come to us with medical care/treatment and focus on improving nutrition as well as working with any behavioral problems; always with lots of compassion and love. Our goal is to provide them with the best possible quality of life in captivity. We offer educational opportunities and guidance to foster homes, permanent adopters, parrot owners, school classrooms and anyone interested in the care and well-being of companion parrots in Las Vegas, Nevada and surrounding communities.  Cage, toys and accessories are always included whether you foster or adopt.  If someone is thinking of giving up their bird due to behavioral or other circumstances but they're not sure, we may be able to help so they can keep their feathered family member.
Foster and adoptive homes are always needed and you can apply by filling out an application on our website.
